Sametime 7.x end of support is September 30, 2011
As announced this month, the end of support date for Lotus Sametime 7.x will be 30 September 2011. Support will end for Lotus Sametime versions 7.0, 7.5, and 7.5.1 and for Sametime Enterprise Meeting Server versions 7.0, 7.5 and 7.5.1. Begin planning your upgrade now; start with Upgrade Central or Planning for migration from an earlier release in the Sametime Information Center.

IBM Lotus Sametime 8.5.1 is out now! Lotus Sametime 8.5.1 extends the capabilities of Sametime 8.5 to additional desktop operating systems and mobile device operating systems, providing comprehensive support for all of the most popular desktop and mobile device operating systems. Following are the Lotus Sametime 8.5.1 additions:

Apple Macintosh 10.6
Linux (SLED , RHED, and Ubuntu)
Blackberry 5.0 devices
Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5 devices

Lotus Sametime 8.5.1 also provides server support for the most recent release of Lotus Domino (8.5.1), with plans to provide support for the next version shortly after it is released. In addition, Lotus Sametime 8.5.1 support for Linux on IBM System z will be available approximately 60 days after electronic availability on the other platforms. IBM released Notes/Domino 8.5.1 Fix Pack 4 is available

BM Lotus announces the release of Notes/Domino 8.5.1 Fix Pack 4, a scheduled Fix Pack of a limited number of low-risk, high-impact fixes to help customers safely avoid known issues. IBM strongly recommends that customers running Notes/Domino 8.5.1 upgrade to this latest Fix Pack since it addresses a small percentage of defects that impact the broadest set of customers.

The Release Notice for Notes/Domino 8.5.1 Fix Pack 4 is now available and contains a list of SPRs addressed in this release and related technotes.
