| Question | ||||||||||||
| Time zone information in Lotus Notes/Domino® is stored in the following format: Z=5$DO=1$DL=4 1 1 10 -1 1$ZX=25$ZN=<Timezonename> The following items contain a value in the format above or similar: - Calendaring and Scheduling entries and Resource Reservation entries store time zone data in their StartTimeZone and EndTimeZone fields. - The Calendar profile ("CalendarProfile") document in the Lotus Notes® mail file stores a user's time zone settings in its Timezone field. - The Lotus® Domino® Web Access profile ("iNotesProfile") stores a user time zone and alternate time zone, respectively in its CurrentTimeZone and AltTimeZone fields. | ||||||||||||

The value represents a time zone in canonical time zone format which contains five settings.
For example, if you select "(GMT -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)" for your time zone in your Calendar preferences, Notes saves the value as:
The above denotes that the time zone is 5 hours before Greenwich Mean Time (-5). Daylight Saving Time (DST) is in effect and starts in the month of April (4), during week 1, on day 1 of the week, which is a Sunday, and ends in October (10), during the last week (-1), also on a Sunday (1) ZX reflects an index of 25, which is relative to a default Windows operating system's Eastern time zone index. The ZN parameter reflects the text description "Eastern". In cases where a time zone does not observe DST (DO=0), its DL parameter will not be included as part of the value in the respective field. This is noted in the table above. For example, the expected value for the Arizona time zone would be:
The ZX parameter varies from operating system to operating system (OS), and may change if an OS has been updated with a patch that revises and or adds time zone data. Domino Web Access (DWA) does not record the ZX value or reference it if it is present. Notes/Domino will record the ZX parameter but do not typically reference it. The ZN parameter is recorded by Notes/Domino and DWA. DWA uses this parameter in order to correctly process time zone information. Notes/Domino may use it selectively. |
Beispiel:
AltTimeZone=Z=5$DO=1$DL=3 2 1 11 1 1$ZX=30$ZN=Eastern
AltTimeZone=Z=5$DO=1$DL=3 2 1 11 1 1$ZX=30$ZN=Eastern
