Detailed information for the notes.ini Keyword:

FooterWeekNo

Short Description: Setting for changing the week numbers

Description:

Per default the Lotus Notes Client use the OS standart for weeknumbers instead the ISO one. So it might happen that a Notes 8.5 calendar January 1st, 2010 claims to be in 'week 1'. However, according to the ISO standards this should be 'week 53' since week number 1 is the week with the first Thursday of the year and January 1st, 2010 is on a Friday.

You can change the setting for week numbering to 'Always use the ISO standard' displays the correct week number. You can find this setting under 'File --> Preferences --> Calendar and To Do --> Week Numbers'

Or you can modifize your notes.ini with these values:

0 = Custom Week Numbers
1 = Always use the OS standard
2 = Always use the ISO standard

Default value:
1

Syntax:
FooterWeekNo=0,1,2

Example:
FooterWeekNo=0

UI equivalent:
file - preferences - calendar & todo - regional settings - weeknumbers

Applies to:
Workstation

...
Is there a policy to set this?!

You could set many notes.ini values via policy. If you didn“t use Lotus Domino/Notes 8.5 see this here:
Using a Desktop Policy to set notes.ini and Location parameters
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=463&uid=swg21196837

If you are using Lotus Notes/Domino 8.5 then this is much easier. Open your desktop policy, go to "Custom Settings" and then "notes.ini" and add this value.

To default to anything other than ISO8601 numbering is bordering on incompetence.
