Short Description: Specifies whether individual sessions are recorded in the log file and displayed on the console.

Description:

Specifies whether individual sessions are recorded in the log file and displayed on the console.

Settings:

0 - Do not log individual sessions

1 - Log individual sessions

2 - Log individual session with IP address and other information

 

Note:

Option 2 is available since Lotus Domino 8.5.1

 

Sample output for Log_Sessions=1:

10/14/2009 22:15:05   Opened session for server01/acme (Release 8.5.1)

Sample output for Log_Sessions=2:

10/14/2009 22:17:32 Opened session for 'server01/acme' (Release 8.5.1) SessId 000E0FAE Ip '127.0.0.1' 'Auth' 'S'

None

Syntax:
Log_Sessions=0 / 1

Example:
Log_Sessions=1

UI equivalent:
The Log All Client Events setting that is an Advanced server Setup option. You can also specify this setting in the NOTES.INI Settings tab of the Configuration Settings document in the Domino Directory.

A bug in 8.5.1
I discovered that while setting Log_Sessions=2 in Domino 8.5.1 indeed returns more info on the server console, none of it gets logged into log.nsf anymore.
